Under calories, WAYYY over sugars

I have just (today) upped my calories from 1200. I do not have trouble eating at this level in fact I don't usually go over on my calories at all. My issue is the sugars. I do not eat a lot of processed foods and make all of my meats and salads at home, with the exception of grocery store yogurt because its just so convenient. The other day someone told me I can't eat a banana and an apple on the same day, not to eat more than 10 grapes at a time, and that watermelon is bad. I thought chips and soda were bad, and being told not to eat bananas really cramps my style. What I want to know is, can I expect to lose weight if I go over 24 grams of sugar a day (my 1200 calorie limit) or 36 grams (my new 1500 calorie limit)? And, how can I add 300-400 calories to my diet without adding more sugars? Take a look at my diary, I'm pretty straight forward, things I can chuck into containers that are reasonably priced seasonally at the closest super market. Let me know your thoughts and help me curb my banana nightmare.

Cheers!

    vegetables, fats.

    add some nuts, cheeses, protein.

i'm surprised if you're only eating 20 grams of carbs, how are you eating yogurt? that's like 10 or so right there.
    eat more veggies!
