Over your limit

I am following the diet set for me based on height weight and daily activity but I have found that I usually exceed the limit set for my daily protein. Is this a bad thing?

Depends, what are your macros set at? I doubt it is going to cause you too much issue if you are exercising too.

I shoot for 1g of protein for every lb of lean body mass; so 178g for me.0
