I wish I had been working out for the last 30 years....I have always played tennis, but in the last year since I started this journey, I have added strength training with a trainer, Zumba, more tennis and lots of cardio.....I feel so much better and it is now a part of my life!

I'm 63 and, like you, I have worked out all my life. It didn't start to get hard until about 5 years ago but I keep pluggin' away!! I used to be a fitness instructor, teaching free weights and aerobics, which I loved. I've been gradually putting on weight since about age 58. I've got about 30 pounds to lose but will be happy if I can lose 20. I love MFP for keeping track of everything. You can friend me if you like. Now that my husband and I are retired, we travel a lot so I may not be on often when we're on the road. And that's when I really need it!! It's so hard to eat light and healthy when we're on the road.

55 Here. Working out daily. Usually burn about 900 calories a day and lift as heavy as I can. I am recovering from a stroke a year ago so that restricts be from some lifting and such but I feel very good. Working out "like a beast" is the way to go.
