I have gotten back on the fitness bandwagon after being off since April. I gained all weight I had lost except 11 pounds back. I had quit exercising and my diet was horrid again. I have since started eating breakfast again, which I had stopped doing, eat lunch and dinner and small snacks. My calories are set at 1410 before exercise calories and then I usually eat most of my exercise calories. The biggest change is that I have almost stopped drinking regular coke again. I am down to half a can every other day and I think I have weaned myself again. I drink nothing except water now. I have tried to cut most sugar out of my diet, except natural sugar like fruit. I also use some on my oatmeal in the mornings. I am trying to exercise everyday. Some days I only burn 200 calories, some days closer to 500.

My question is since this change a week ago all I want to do is sleep. I go to bed by 10, fall asleep in about 10 minutes. Every afternoon I want a nap and usually take an hour to two hour one. Thank goodness I am a stay at home mom because I would be falling asleep on the job.

Is this my body just getting used to the changes or what. I know my iron is slightly low because I went to give blood on Wednesday and after two blood checks they turned me away but told me it wasn't really low. It has to be 12.1 to give blood and mine was 11.6 so not bad I don't think.

Why am I so tired???

Are you taking a multi vitamin? This will help with iron. Also, cooking in a cast iron skillet, if you want to go the natural way.

Also, it could be a caffeine withdrawal. You could stick with it until it passes, or try to substitute tea for the soda you cut out. Tea with lemon has almost no calories.

Finally, are you getting enough sleep at night and is it quality sleep? Some people swear by naps anyway. Experts say that most Americans are sleep deficient, and studies have shown that getting the proper amount of good sleep does help weight loss.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for answering!

I do take a multi-vitamin and also a Calcium pill.

I get woke up several times per night due to the dog or the 5 year old but I just get up, do what needs to be done and fall right back asleep.
