I discovered ZERO calorie shirataki noodles!

I'm very excited cause I bought some shirataki noodles at my local Asian food health store. They are zero calories (unless you get the tofu ones which are only 20 cals). I simply rinsed and boiled them, added some soy sauce, chicken, and broccoli, and got a VERY filling meal for only 250 calories. I recommend you try them! Make sure you prepare them correctly though or they are rubbery and smell really fishy. They absorb the flavor you mix with them. I can't wait to buy the fetucini version and add alfredo sauce and parmesan cheese!

I found the tofu ones 1 pkg equals 40 cals...the fetticini isn't that good compaired to the angel hair. Still like smart taste noodles better. Shiratake are kindof blan and don't absorb sauce.0

Be warned... they look the same going into your mouth as they do coming out the other end....
At least to me... all like 6 times I've tried them. Tofu or not, it always happens.0 -
I like shirataki. I wish they wish they have non-tofu varieties aside from the fettuccine and elbow-ish noodles.0
