Run a marathon

What marathons have you run in? Walking marathons? Running marathons?
Running clubs? or Walking clubs?

I would like to try to run a marathon in my life. It sounds like fun. I notice I find marathons need to pay a fee to join the team.
I don't find any free ones or ones that take a small donation.
