Advice

I need advice. I have been trying to eat back at least part of my exercise calories. Today I had a very busy day. I ate too small of a breakfast and a decent lunch. I had so many calories for dinner I ate a bit extra. I then went for a walk. I now have over 700 calories remaining for the day, with a net of Almost 800. I drank 32 ounces of water during the walk since it was 95 degrees. I am still full from dinner and the water. I don't want to underfed my body though. I have been trying to eat bigger breakfasts, though I have never been a big breakfast person. Plus I know my I digest food slower because when other digestive issues were diagnosed, my doctor found out I have about half as many digestive enzymes as I should, so I am not hungry for longer after meals.

What do you do to meet your calorie allotment? Any advice? I am struggling!

  • My opinion if i am full and havnt hit my calories i take it as a gift. Never eatat my calories back and i dont think it will mess your body up unless you ate way under for a long period of time as in over 3 or 4 weeks

I never force myself to eat my leftover calories. Many people will swear by it and say it is very important for weight loss... which depending on your caloric allowance for each day it may be... however I feel like it will somewhat balance itself out for days that I happen to go over a little or decide not to exercise.

Nothing wrong with listening to your body. Don't go with what others say on when you SHOULD eat... listen to how you feel and you're golden.

If your not hungry don't eat...try eating smaller meals every 3 or 4 hours to help get your calories in. I only eat back my exercise calories because I'm so low on those calories to begin with but if I was eating 1200 calories a day I would not be eating back any workout calories. Skip breakfast if you don't like to eat breakfast. A glass of ice water kick starts your metab just like eating first thing does. Your body has to work to warm up the ice water to body temp therefore I eat 6 to 7 hundred calories a day and I don't feel like I'm underfeeding my body at all. Not to say you should eat like me but really all this bs about starvation mode has got people running scared.
