Hey I just came across a recipe for a berry smoothie that uses low fat/fat free vanilla ice cream. Any suggestions? I usually don't buy this stuff-so I have no clue what would be the best one to get! Can I substitute it for something else? Maybe fat free yogurt? Thanks in advance!

yes you can substitute yogurt. the best ones i've found are the dreyer or breyer (can't remember which) double churned, actually tastes like normal ice cream. it may not be the fat free kind though, may only be low fat. I'd go for the yogurt instead personally, if you know what kinds you like already.0

Edy's has a yogurt blend. It's just like ice cream. I stopped buying it though because I would eat too much, it's super yummy.0

I make smoothies all of the time and love them!! If I were you, I would just freeze a regular yogurt and use that. Healthier and still tastes great. Unless you are looking for more of a treat...0

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to freeze some fat free plain yogurt and use that! I already have it, plus it's much healthier for me and I won't be stuck with a tub of ice cream:explode: lol! Any other suggestions would be great! I'm always up for new ideas:bigsmile:0
