I use a blender bottle to make sure this is well shaken. I hate for things to have a weird texture and after much experimentation, this is pretty on the mark for me. Below is a list of basic ingredients, followed by add-ins that I switch up from time to time, followed by nutritional information of the basics then a few choice add-in favs.
BASIC VANILLA:
1 scoop Iso Pure Zero Carb Creamy Vanilla protein powder
1 scoop Whey Factors Unflavored whey protein powder
2 cups So Delicious unsweetened almond plus protein almond milk
1 packet of Great Value Stevia
-- Shake the crap out of it. Refrigerate. Shake again before drinking. (I like mine cold but not over ice cause ice freaks me out).
ADD-INS:
1 Tbsp. Maranantha Creamy No-Stir Almond Butter (or)
1 Tbsp. Wowbutter - soybutter replacement
1 Tbsp. Great Value Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup
BASIC VANILLA SHAKE NUTRITION:
Cals -- 265
Carbs -- 2
Fat -- 7
Protein -- 51
Sugar -- 0
Sodium -- 405
'PEANUT BUTTER" SHAKE NUTRITION:
(w/1 Tbsp. Wowbutter since we're a peanut free household due to peanut allergies)
Cals -- 365
Carbs -- 6
Fat --15
Protein -- 55
Sugar -- 2
Sodium -- 465
'CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER' SHAKE NUTRITION:
(w/1Tbsp. Wowbutter & 1 Tbsp. GV SF Chocolate Syrup)
Cals -- 373
Carbs -- 8
Fat -- 15
Protein -- 56
Sugar -- 2
Sodium -- 490
I have considered adding 1/4 cup of canned pumpkin to the Basic Vanilla.... or adding only 1.5 cups of almond milk and .5 cup of Non-Fat Greek Gods yogurt (perhaps plain, perhaps the honey or strawberry kind). Please feel free to experiment and let me know what you come up with!!!
