Define "Fitness"

My motto and goal is "Balanced Nutrition and Fitness" (over diet and exercise). I'm just 55 days with 10lbs lost in and it's just dawned on me, I haven't really given enough thought to what my fitness goal should be! My nutritional goals are moving along nicely, I'm walking, doing aerobics, light weights for upper body. I'll be 52 in a couple weeks and have never been athletic but when I was younger always felt I was fit. So, what is fitness to you? Is it muscle mass, BP reading, cholesterol levels, heart rate, etc....
