Being from the deep south, I'm used to seeing just about anything and everything battered and deep fried...... fried Oreos, fried pickles, fried asparagus, fried pound cake ..... but this may actually be a first for me. I should have known, though, that there was one out there somewhere.
Yeah deep fried pickles are awesome! Deep fried Twinkie was kinda weird. I had that one two years ago. The pickles last year.0 -
Our state fair is known for deep fried butter on a stick. I just don't know if that can be topped.
Aww, a fellow iowan!!!0 -
So where do I get all this deep-fried heaven in FL? Cuz I'm totally game.
um, no clue... I was at the Houston Texans Grille here in Houston.0 -
A bit much for me, I would have passed on that one.0

And we wonder why there is a need for bariatric ambulances and super size coffins?
Disgusting.0 -

Disgusting.
hahahaha, meh. It was a dare. I accepted. No biggy. I mean, yea, it was gross, but hey, it was a dare.0 -
This is the kind of thing where you need a whole table of people, and everyone tries 1 bite.
I would totally be game for 1 bite, any more and my insides would surely revolt.
PS You're a good sport for eating that thing.0 -
I must admit that battered and deep fried foods area bit of a weakness for me when it comes to eating healthy. Deep fried pickles and deep fried Snickers are my favorites. Since I have started my healthy eating, I have only succumbed to the deep fried yumminess once. I was surprised to find multiple sources that said a deep fried Snickers is "only" 400 calories (although OBVIOUSLY not healthy.)
Oh...and the deep fried burger sounds amazing to me. :-/0 -

Oh yeah I get you on that - it's just that these foods exist at all which I find hard to get my head around. And then of course there are the people who actually live on this stuff and use is as a regular source of 'nutrition'.0 -
Good for you taking the dare.
As for me I would just lay my ears back and go to town on that burger. Dare or not!!:bigsmile:0 -
This thread is making me fat.0

Sorry for the horrendous stereotype here, but i'm scottish, the home of dip it in batter and fry it. A deep fried cheeseburger is nothing new to us. I've also seen deep fried chocolate, pizza, and bizzarely enough deep fried peas.
Not to mention Braveheart Butter Bombs eh?
For those who are not in the know this is a lump of butter coated in batter then deep fried. Apparently the butter melts into the batter and they taste like rich doughnuts.
I haven't tried them, I am afraid I will like them way too much. :sad:0 -

I can't even imagine that being good.....I can't imagine eating straight butter.
Weve got that here at our fall fest in southern indiana and it's basically a roll with butter in the middle really nothing special I tried it a few years ago and didn't like it. What's worse than all of this is when my husband (who's skinny for some reason I might add) eats a donut bank hamburger at the fall fest... It's a glazed donut split in half with a burger in the middle cheese and all along side his fried oreos lol0 -
hmm, no bun, so it's probably pretty healthy
the bun is inside - the enitre thing was fried
Oh wow.0 -

I heard of the deep fried butter and deep fried beer last night, too. Apparently they were introduced to our rodeo this year, but I didn't see them. I might have tried the beer, just to say I did...0 -
Nothing unusual about deep frying anything up in Scotland... I had a little taster of deep fried Haggis when I was up in Edinburgh the other year, it was ok I suppose...
Apparently the deep fried pizza are very popular, but no where near as a popular as deep fried mars bars!
I stick to the good old traditional British fish and chips though (plaice preferably!) But not so often now as I am obviously ion here to try and cut down!0 -
You know what goes good with a deep fried burger? Deep fried desserts
Menchi-katsuBurger

Fried Oreos are the best fried thing on the planet next to fried coconut shrimp, lol.
HAHAHA I agree. I cooked 5 lbs of shrimp at my moms, half of which was coconut shrimp. She loves them and they are pretty tasty.0 -
