I just heard that you are not meant to take fish oil with water as your body will not absorb.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I'm sure a burnt throat from trying to swallow the fish oils dry will get you taking them with water in no time! hahahaha.........

Your body is made up of up to 60% water, water is a good thing.

I quote myself (I feel weird)
    Lipids transportation
Lipids, being hydrophobic (they do not dissolve into water), are being transported within the blood stream by proteic structures called apolipoproteins - the gathering is called lipoproteins.

Lipoproteins, depending on their density (amount of apolipoproteins, cholesterol and lipids), could be classified in 5 categories :
    - Chylomicrons
    - Very Low Density Lipoproteins : around 80% or the triglycerides
    - Intermediary Density Lipoproteins
    - Low Density Lipoproteins : around 75% of the total cholesterol
    - High Density Lipoproteins

That is100% not true. Fish oil doesn't dissolve in water, but that has nothing to do with digestion. Water will be absorbed and gone long before the fish oil even leaves your stomach.
