TEAR HERE on plastic packaging

Years ago it was the OPEN HERE spout on paper milk cartons
that could be a CHALLENGE at times......

Nowadays, it's the TEAR HERE strips on plastic zippered packages.:grumble:

UGH......

I think she is talking about how packages open and are always still difficult even though technology has changed. Think about opening a zip top bag of cheese and having it rip wrong then you still have to cut it to get to your delicious cheese.

I guess you mean because they're such a pain to open?

Yep, I have that happen all the time. Same with pull tabs that break off of the can without having even started to open it. Thank goodness most of the time I'm at home, in the kitchen, and have my handy dandy kitchen shears nearby. When I'm out somewhere and have that problem, I've been known to use my teeth (on the bags, not the cans!).

How about those security envelopes that come in the mail? They look like paper but they're really made out of kevlar and they don't rip, tear, cut or shred without tremendous effort.

    Now THOSE are a trip!

Great prank to play on someone, by the way. Tell'em their bonus is in the envelope and superglue it shut.
