There is a local food bank drive going on. We have a ton of food that we will not eat that we can donate. Canned veggies, noodle/rice side dish packets, Ramen noodles, etc.
I know that it's a growing problem, that many low income people have health and weight issues. I want to help, but can't help but feel bad to donate this "bad" food that's both high in calories and sodium. Am I totally overthinking this?
This new lifestyle we have adapted has gotten us thinking about nutrition all the time, which I know is good.
Does the bad outweigh the good in this instance?

First, crap food is better than no food, so donate what you have.
Second, each shopping trip pick up 1 or 2 (or more!) healthy things specifically to donate.0
