Today is yoga and walking, though I have an errand to run, so if I get my butt in gear in time, I could ride my bike.

There are only two weeks left before my yoga workshop. How do you get in shape in two weeks??? I only have 4 weeks before my 50 mile bike ride. Yikes. I guess I'll just have to exercise for the next couple weeks and ignore the house:wink: I got over an hour on the bike yesterday, but the hill was really hard. Harder than it should have been.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

    Pushing harder, boogaloo.

Still not anywhere near up to par today. I think I may need antibiotics (I hate antibiotics). I did walk home from the subway after a morning appointment, but that might be all I manage today. I have to be really careful so that I am better by the time I have to start teaching again (on Sept the 11th. . .which is coming up fast).

I hate being sick. :brokenheart: Blergh.

Rest fluids and more rest recharge boogaloo.

    Take care.:flowerforyou:

Man, I think this is a sign that I am multitasking too much - I had a post ready to go yesterday and forgot to actually post it again! Sorry you are not feeling well, V.

    Yesterday's post:
MonsterMash!! That made me laugh. V, I swear, that drinking chocolate is deadly stuff! Mary, I hope the weather people were wrong again and you do get a break in the heat. Hi Karen, congrats on the scale!

I went trail running again last night with my co-worker and actually had fun! I am sure that the cool weather gave me a lot more energy. The only bad part was I tripped on a root and banged up my knee pretty good. At least I was wearing pants so it didn't really bleed or anything. :grumble: My hip is a bit sore this morning, but less so than the past two times. I iced it last night, so that may have helped.

As for today - I had my last rabies shot last night (woohoo), so if my arm is a little less sore later, I will do pushups. Otherwise, cleaning is the main thing on the agenda.

    Weekend boogaloo!

    Howdy!
Today has been a good but busy day. I'm tired and sore. We went swimming this morning, then we went to a birthday party down by the Fort Worth zoo. We rode the train which Alex loved! He is obsessed with railroad crossings so that put a grin on his face. I only had one cupcake even though I really wanted two! A small victory for me...although all afternoon I've been thinking about them.
After that we went all over looking for a iphone for me! My other phone was about to die, so Dh got me a new one! I like it!
I've still got lot of cleaning to do before we have company tomorrow. I'm looking forward to having people over. It's been awhile.
Well, I need to get dinner and move on to the cleaning part.
    V, get better soon!

If I get ready in time, I have yoga in an hour and a planned gym visit this afternoon.

I ended up taking the rest of yesterday off - after the yoga class. Part of it was running out of time, part of it was allowing myself to have a break.

It only got to 96 yesterday, that was a nice change - it was dry too, so it didn't feel bad at all.

Hope you feel better soon, V.

    Taking breaks, boogaloo.

    Hi pebbs,

Feeling a bit better today, but still taking one more day off from serious workouts.

I'm going to to try to make it outside and walk around a bit with my husband. (we're both pretty stressed out and need to get out of the house. . .it's weird when your house is also your office. Hard to truly relax at home sometimes. . .) There's this really cool artsy/hippy neighborhood that has a "pedestrian Sunday", so we'll probably go there and see what's up.

Other than that, more rest and trying to eat better boogaloo. I've gotten very involved with salty chips because they're the only thing that tastes good to me right now. The one (good?) side effect of this sinus business is I have pretty much zero appetite.

    Take care.:flowerforyou:

    elimination diet update:

I'm on my second day of wheat with no ill effects. Hmm m m . . .puzzling. Nervous now that it's something I'd normally eat with bread (butter or cheese).

I get to introduce dairy last, and I'm really hoping that's not an issue, as I miss it more than anything.

This experiment at least feels like a pretty good eating "reset" button, but I look forward to being able to eat in a restaurant again.

    Howdy again.
Not much news to speak of here. We are about to have company for dinner, so I need to vacuum and finish getting the chicken kabobs ready. We don't have people over a lot (though we would like to), so we get kind of nervous about it. lol. DH says I have the gift of hospitality. I'd like to think so but I'm not so sure.
We did not sleep well last night because something went "bump" (more like slam) in the night and scared us. Still don't know what it was. It was hard to sleep after that. So I took a snooze this afternoon after get some meal prep done.
Last night we watched Wall-e for the first time and I don't think I have ever seen Alex giggle at a movie like that before. He thought their noises were really funny. Cute movie. I'm sure we'll have to watch it again tomorrow.
I'd better get busy. See you all tomorrow!

I really liked Wall-E... although the vision of humans in the future was pretty depressing. :noway:

I did pushups this morning, hoping to get back to a MWF (or at least TTS) schedule. It was rough, though - after not making it through week 4, day 2 on level 3 on Wednesday, I tried week 4, day 3 on level 2 today - and I *still* didn't quite make it.

    23
    28
    23
    23
31 + 4 (it was supposed to be 33, but I collapsed, rested a few seconds, and did a few more)

Then we went shopping, and I did a little bit of gardening. And then took a little cat nap (with the help of a cat on my lap, of course)... that was nice.

Glad you are feeling a bit better, V - and interesting with the wheat. I must admit, it's a fascinating idea as an eating "reset" - but I'd probably need to have a more compelling reason to actually do it.

    Back to cleaning boogaloo!
