pcos and weight loss without medication

Hi . I have pcos and am quite obese. I recently had to discontinue birth control b/c it was messing with liver. I am curious if any ladies on here lost a lot of weight with pcos diagnosis and did weight loss control symptoms? I am considering taking Metformin but I am scared of side effects.

    I've been on Metformin for 5 years now. Take the Metformin.....go low-carb.....move every day. If you are very heavy, just start with walking.

    There are a couple of PCOS groups here that you can join if you'd like to talk with more PCOS ladies....
