I had a health scare this last week. I hadn't been feeling well, getting very light headed to the point of almost passing out. I finally went to the doctor and was on the verge of kidney failure. My kidneys were functioning at about 12%. I went to a specialist and after looking at my chart, he determined that because I had been loosing weight, my blood pressure was naturally coming down and with my BP meds, it was causing it to be too low. Also I had been taking ibuprofen for my tooth. With all of that, it was stopping blood flow into my kidneys. I was taken off all my meds and after a week of that, my blood test came back almost normal today. My blood pressure is also at a normal range and I'm hoping that I won't have to go back on them at all. Although I have a weight loss goal, my main goal was to be able to get off of blood pressure medication.

If you're on blood pressure medication, please go see your doctor regularly. Especially if you are loosing a significant amount of weight.
