STOP-Don't do it!!

Today is day 165 for me on MFP!!! Why in the world I waited 52 (almost 53) years to get in shape, I will never know!!

I am a mother of 5 and grandmother of 6. My starting weight fluctated between 165 and 170. I now weigh 136. More important than those numbers though is that this 52 year old grandma feels better than I did at 30.

Please don't continue down that road to being unhealthy and feeling awful. Be on the road to a new healthy, positive, person that feels great about yourself and your new you!!

BTW, my granddaughter is turning 4 on Sunday and this old grandma is going to be having the time of her life at her "jump around birthday party"!!

I also question why I waited till I was 44 to start getting healthier. There is so much of life I missed because of my weight but I have started to make up for that and plan on living the rest of my life to the fullest!

I will tell you some days it is not easy and others it is a breeze! But there is NOTHING that beats the sense of accomplishment when I look at where I used to me and where I am now!

Don't give up on yourself! YOU ARE WORTH IT! I promise you will be happy you did it!

Congratulations on your success! And even though you might think I'm young by comparison, I understand exactly what you mean about wondering why you waited so long. I'm 26 now and put on all my weight starting when I was 17. So my college years and most of my 20's were taken up with being really overweight/obese which seems like something of a bummer now. But what good is regret going to do me, right?
