First Half Marathon

So, I just signed up for my first half marathon. It's been an excrutiatingly tough year (at times) and I've fallen off the wagon many times during. I finally felt like I needed something concrete as a goal, to really boost my motivation. On November 6th of last year, I turned 26 and I vowed and declared that this would be "my year". So far, in some ways, it has been, and in others, it hasn't. I've wanted to do great things (some of which I have) and I've wanted to be great (some of which I'm still working on) ....
I recently jumped back on the bandwagon and I'm ready to fly. I've got a training schedule set up for myself that I've been following diligently and as long as I keep on track, I know that this year can still be mine. My race is set for November 4th, which I found perfect considering it's almost like the finale to my year (with my birthday being 2 days later) as well, my Twins (who I run for in the first place) turn 4 on November 5th. Glorious.
Anyways, if you could, please post stories, share blogs, share PR records, share mile by mile experiences of your half marathon run. It would really inspire me.
Thanks guys

I just ran my first in May. I completed it in 2:45. I was about 2/3 of the way down the list of finishers. I'm running 3 more in September and October. It was a great experience. It's a great length to run once you have all the training in. The spectators were awesome. The heat and sun were dreadful. HA!
I caught a cold the week before and thought I wasn't going to be able to race. And then I blew a tire on my way there. I made the race with 10 minutes to spare. But because I was so rushed, I forgot half the stuff I wanted to bring with me. gels. gum. kleenex. etc.
I was outrun by both the men and women's full marathon winners. And probably a couple more.
I felt great the last few kms of the race and was either helpful or pissing people off with my motivation at the end.
Here are my paces. (km) 7:00 min / km is about 11:20 min per mile.
km Pace (min/km) Elevation (m)
