Have you thought about making a new diet and exercise schedule for the summer? Or are you sticking with your plan you have during the school year? During the school year, I work with young children with special needs. Sometimes it's physically exhausting, but enjoy teaching.

I started getting serious about changing my diet and exercise a couple times a week on May 20 such as eating small meals, less carbs/sweets, eat more fruits & veggies, walking, light jog, strength training. I would eat every 3-4 hours throughout the day. My schedule would be breakfast, morning snack, lunch, (afternoon snack if hungry), dinner (evening snack if hungry). Also tried my best to drink at least 6 glasses of water during the day.

Now that school is out for the summer, I need to make a summer schedule as far as still eating every few hours and exercise 2-3 times a week and make sure I stick with it. Then I'll resume my normal schedule once the school year starts.work for a public school system and now school is out.

I have a terrible time during the school year. I commute about 40 minutes, have 2 children of my own and have a perfectionist streak in my work. You are doing very well in comparison to me (and my teacher friends). We always joke that we see each other in August and remark that we'd forgotten how good looking each of us is! We call ourselves "haggard" in June, but we really rejuvenate over the summer!

That being said, I am exercising a lot right now. I start my day with a 3 mile walk with the dog and I do cardio at the gym most evenings while my kids are in swim class. Every other day I do a weights routine, as well.

I already feel better, but I do get discouraged knowing that I will make progress during the summer and degenerate in the fall again. :( Of course, the alternative is a faster slide into old-age!

    Keep going!
