Hey there all,
49 yr old male, 6ft, started at 194, last weigh-in 187.4!
Im new to MFP and I'd be happy to get new friends to help me on my journey, as well as help where I can. Watching calories for the first tiem in my life thanks to this site and Im AMAZED at how much crap I ate.
I am not huge, drastically overweight, or "morbidly obese" (as the medical term likes to state) but I am NOT in great physical condition, need to trim up, firm up, get in shape, and drop 10 lbs. But even 10 lbs is NOT easy.
Im doing P90X and its TOUGH but getting in 3-4 workouts a week, and eating right and Im already down a few lbs in the last 4 weeks. Ive signed myself up for a "Warrior Dash", a 5K obstacle course in August to motivate me to stay on track with diet and exercise. If I can survive that at almost 50, then I know it will all be worth it and there will be no going back!
So, if you want to add em as a friend, please do. We could all use the help.
John

Hi and Welcome!
I did the warrior dash last year, tons of fun! I did it for fun as much as fitness and had a group of people I did it with. Wear a pair of gloves for the rope obstacles, they are very needed!
Feel free to add me, I've got quite a few pounds to lose, but the more help we can give each other the better we'll ALL be!0 -
Welcome aboard!!! Feel free to add me if you like.0
