5K is Saturday. What do I need to eat tomorrow?

If you remember, I posted a few weeks ago about pooping and jogging. I got some good answers, thank you! Now that 5k time is here, I need to know what I should eat tomorrow so I don't have to poop on Saturday. Suggestions? I am guessing no fruits or veggies due to fiber.

Is having to poop bad..? A 5k isn't that long, so can't you just wait until you finish? I don't mean to be condescending or anything. I just didn't know pooping was an issue.

The best advice, get up early and drink a cup of coffee, then you poop before and don't have to run with that extra weight inside

Just eat normally, there's no need to prepare much. Of course no drinking the night before :drinker:

It honestly doesn't matter what you eat for before a 5k. On a side note, I find it hilarious when people pig out after they finished a 5k. You might burn 300-400 calories running a 5k; you don't need pizza, cookies, muffins, bagels, etc. to "replenish".

I always have to poop after a mile. I don't know why. It is so annoying. I tried not eating in the morning first and still had to race to get home.

I ate a whole bag of cheese when I was in Wisconsin Dells last week and didn't poop until Monday.

Just eat what you would normally eat. Nothing spicy or greasy. Take some Imodium or Pepto if you think "runner's trots" aregoing to be a problem.

Does this happen when you normally run? I always find it funny when people think they need to do all of these different things from their regular routine just because it is an official race. If you have something that keeps you from pooping yourself when you train just do that, that and I think that poop has been in there from a couple of days ago, because of how long it takes to get through your intestines. As for the person who says it's funny that people pig out after, I think a lot of people do it just because it is a fun part of the event, but you are right it is funny when people us it as an excuse to refuel haha. Though because of my size I do burn between 600-700 calories from a 5K, but I just use that as an excuse to drink 5 beers

How long have you been running? The reason I ask is because I had this issue when I first started...now I can run half marathons without issues. I used to just pop and imodium before a run and be good ;)
