Having a love/hate relationship with my FitBit right now. Base died in the end of June. They swear they sent me another. I've lost the motivation it was giving me and my battery is almost dead.

    Sorry. Being pissy.

Anyone know what to do ... my Fitbit is not syncing to MFP. This just started yesterday. I have had mine for about 2 months and this is the first time it has done this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have posted on the Fitbit website, but no responses as yet. Thanks.

+++Below is info that fitbit support sent to me. What I have learned on my own is that sometime I simply need to unplug/replug the base station from my computer. Maybe my usb port is going bad but this works for me.

    1. Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound ->Devices and Printers -> Device Manager
    2. Double-click on "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". ----> Right-click on the "Fitbit Base Station" and select “Uninstall" --> Check the box “Delete the driver for this device”
    3. A pop-up window may appear and prompt to reboot your computer. Click "No" to ignore the reboot.
    4. Unplug the Fitbit base station
    5. Go back to Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a program -> Right-click on Fitbit Base Station (driver removal)” and select "Uninstall"
    6. Also, uninstall the Fitbit desktop client -> Right-click on “Fitbit vX.XX” and select "Uninstall"
    7. Restart your computer
    8. Download and install the Fitbit software from www.fitbit.com/start.
    9. Finally, plug the base station into a different USB port.

bumping for this answer. love my fitbit.

Hi, I would love to know what you guys think of the fitbit. I was looking into all the different devices of this kind and couldn't decide if I thought it was necessary. Is it worth it? What do you like/dislike about it? any info would help. Thanks

Hi, I would like to have some MFP and Fitbit friends. My fitbit profile is http://www.fitbit.com/user/22HNKY
It's a good device to get me to move more. Before I had it, I thought I burned a lot more in my daily life than I actually do.

Hi. I just got a fitbit yesterday. Can anyone tell me if I'm still supposed to log in my exercise? I like to keep track of how often I workout, but don't want a double entry every day. Thanks

Sorry, but I'm replying to my own post. It looks like Fitbit takes out any cardio exercises from myfitnesspal & replaces them with a Fitbit calorie adjustment. Since I want to see what my actual daily workout is, I am created a new entry in the Strength Exercise area. Since strength exercise doesn't count calories, there should be no problem.

If anyone else has come up with a better method of keeping track of actual exercise please let me know.

Also if you use the stop watch to count your cardio work outs then log that time in your mfp account it will adjust the calories burned for all the calories burned track on fitbit. so you will then have your cardio work out. and the adjustment from fit bit for normal activities.

I think its great. I like know how much i actually walk thru out a day. I also have found that i look for more reasons to walk some where vs hopping in my car and driving the 1/4 mile because its hot outside. I want those steps so i walk now. :D

I *heart* my Fitbit! I've had is since February of this year (I think) and it has truly motivated me to move more! I haven't had any friends to compete with. I think that would motivate me even MORE to move!

    Anyone can add me:

Fitbit is a fancy pedometer. I have one and love it. I've left it at home a few times and regretted it. It's almost as essential as my mobile phone. it's works a motivator and reminds me to get more sleep!

My fitbit really motivates me to walk more, even in all the rain we have been having! Keeps my dog happy too, as he gets extra walks since I got mine. No fitbit friends so far, so add me if you like.
