Before I wallow in my own self pity for a bit. I am looking for friends to add me as motivators as I need it.
Around this time last year I was a workout fiend losing weight and feeling good. Then I fell off and gained all my weight back and then some....sigh. Well I figured since in my current state I eligible for Lap Band surgery, but my insurance does not cover it. So I guess that means no quick fix for me, which means I have to do it the old fashion way the dreaded diet and working out. Last time my goal as to lose 50lbs by my birthday but now it's lose 100+ by Feb 2013, as I have a cruise I am going on and I want to be extra cute. My goal is to be bathing suit ready w/o a cover up, only as needed. Wish me luck people!!!!

Good luck! That's an ambitious goal.
I know what you're going through though with the regain. I worked really hard, took off 72 pounds, and took a little "break" for the holidays, next thing I knew it was a year later and I'd gained 40 pounds back. It's taken me six month to take those 40 pounds back off. Without that relapse I'd have hit my goal weight months ago.
Still, if I can do it, anyone can do it. I've got the willpower of a wet noodle.0 -
Hi! I too am guilty of falling of the wagon!! Don't be too hard on yourself though! I originally lost a little over 70 pounds, but gained most of it back. I have been back on the wagon for a little while now and I am within 20 pounds of my goal. I think it is awesome that you have a goal and a deadline in mind. I would be more than happy to be a friend/motivator. You already know that you are able to loose a significant amount of weight (since you already have once) so that gives you the advantage that you know you can!! Let me know how I can help!!0

Don't beat yourself up. 95% of people re-gain.
Make realistic goals. Success breeds success.
Don't be too sad over not getting WLS. From what I hear it's no 'easy way'. It's pretty much the same as 'the old fashioned way' just by force, because you get sick if you overeat. You can do it without that stick behind you. You WILL get sick if you overeat, just not immediately. It'll be diabetes down the road.
Good luck!0
