I have a daily goal of 2500 sodium according to MFP. I hardly go over that limit. I keep myself between 1300 to maximum 2000 units of sodium. I want to know is that too much sodium or if I am keeping within my daily limit then it is fine just like the daily calories. Please advise what is the ideal sodium intake? I have read at many places whoever has an issue with scale not going down he is advised by different members to check on the sodium. So I also want to know what is the optimum intake of sodium?

Your intake sounds fine. Make sure you are getting enough potassium as well. Optimally you would be getting twice as much potassium as sodium, but people find that difficult to reach; a 2:3 sodium:potassium ratio is a decent goal.0
