Does anyone have ideas for low cal and low fat Smore's? :blushing:

I just watched the Jon and Kate Plus 8 episode where Kate camps in the backyard with the kids and half the show they spent making Smore's....not healthy for my healthy plan!

Any ideas would be appreciated!
:drinker:

    I found this......

Easy Low Fat S'mores (Smores) Recipe #343313
If you're on a low fat diet and have a sweet tooth, this might curve your cravings. I ate this while I was on a diet (every once and a while..IN MODERATION!). It's not as good as the orgional (of course), but it has all the "S'mores components." Only down side, it may have a lot of sugar (carbs). But I hope you enjoy nonetheless. Oh, and feel free to add more or less marshmallow or chocolate syrup if you want. (P.S.- this snack is MESSY).

    15 min | 15 min prep

    SERVES 10

    10 low-fat graham crackers
    10 large marshmallows
hersey's chocolate syrup (for chocolate milk in a squeeze bottle)
Roast marshmallows over open flame (or you can break a full graham cracker sheet in half, place 1 marshmallow on top of it, and put it in the middle of the microwave for 15 seconds, skip to step three if you used the microwave).
Break a full graham cracker sheet in half and place a roasted marshmallow on top.
Drizzle desired amount of Hersey's chocolate syrup on top of the roasted marshmallow.
Sandwich with the other half of the graham cracker sheet.
    Enjoy in moderation! :-D.

Well chocolate is never low fat :) But what I would do is go to the market and see if they had a light option for graham crackers, then just get regular marshmallows (they are basically just egg whites and sugar), and some dark chocolate which is full of antioxidants. Then, calculate how many calories one has and base how many you eat on how many calories you want to devote to the s'mores! Gosh I looooovvvveeeee s'mores...like when you bite it and all the goo comes out

They do make sugar free marshmellows. I don't know if they are sold in the store, but I just found some on the internet made by a company called La Nouba.
  • Smores aren't really that bad, the problem is stopping once you stop, but the dark chocolate and low fat graham crackers are definately a good idea. 'shmellows aren't really too bad it just goes back to the making yourself stop at about 4 max.
