Does anyone know the calories burned in 45 min of Zumba?

My daughter is exercising by taking Zumba classes. Her classes are 45 min to one hour. Does anyone know how many calories are burned by classes like Zumba? Thanks a bunch!

I don't go to the actual classes, but I play it on my wii, and I give it everything I have, it takes me weight information and height at the beginning, im about 145lbs, and after 25 mins of zumba, it usually says I have burned around 250 calories....;i hope this helps at least some?

I think everyone is different and the only way to know for sure is to wear a HRM. However, there is a zumba calculator too.. It tells me for my age and weight I would burn 506 cals in one hour, but when I wear my HRM I always burn about 700 in an hour. Of course, different instructors teach differently too, some more high impact than others and that impacts the count too.

everyone is different

I asked my instructor and she said a 60 min class burns between 400 to 600 calories, so I always log as the low end of the scale just to be conservative. Without a HRM I don't truly know, even though I do work hard in the class.
