take a break or push through

Hi there,
I just started a new weight training program for M/W/F. Saturday is my rest day and T/Th/Sun I do cardio.
Anyway my body is feeling super sluggish and heavy today. I'm tired and very distracted mentally. I'm wondering if I should push through this and continue my third day of weight training or possibly just do some light exercise today and postpone weight training until Saturday. Thoughts?

It's not going to hurt you too much if you take another day off. My advice is to push through it, but if you're hurting excessively or feeling ill, I'd take the day off.0

Rest is important. If you feel that way, it's probably an indication that you aren't getting enough of it.

Go through the motions. Play it by ear. In the worst case, make it a deload day and don't go all out. In the best case, once you get started, you will feel energized and chug through it, maybe even hit a new personal record.0

Always listen to your body. While it is obviously important to push yourself during your workouts to help yourself succeed, you also need to learn the difference between pushing yourself to do your best and pushing yourself into injury.
I, too, would suggest pushing through it but play it by ear and if your body just doesn't seem up to it, either cool yourself down and stop for the day or continue with lower energy.0
