I have to start with the background...sorry! Since an injury in January, I've been on VERY restricted activity. As in pretty much nothing. Awesome when you're trying like crazy to lose weight! :grumble: Luckily, due to very careful eating, I haven't really gained anything.
Two weeks ago, my physical therapist had me start functional exercise yoga. Yay! She says after 4-6 sessions, if I'm doing well then she'll release me to do some lighter activity...I'm working as hard as I can so I gain her approval. It's an hour long, one-on-one session. It's HARD, too! I've done yoga, but nothing like this! Last week, after my first session, I hurt for 2 days. This week, I'm a little sore, but nothing like last week.
Now...here's the victory, part...I looked down at my arms today, and I can see a change...already...OMG!!!! I actually did a little happy dance in my office when I noticed it!
So, for those of you who don't think adding exercise into your plan will work, think again! Even us (currently, but hopefully soon to be ex-) chubby girls can benefit from some hard work!
Keep up the good work, everyone--you've all been a great inspiration to me!
