How do I change my calories per day?

When I first joined MFP gave me 1290 calories to eat daily. I've just stared this journey and I'm finding it hard to stick with it. I'm hungry and don't want to eat because I don't want to use up my caloires before I eat dinner. How do I modify my calories per day.I'm thinking of doing 1500 and and staying below that daily.

    What I'd do if I were you is a combination of three things:

    1. Reduce your "number of pounds to lose each week" goal. This will increase your calories available while still setting a measurable goal that will allow you to assess your progress.

    2. Start tracking calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Try to meet ALL of those goals, not just calories. A calorie is a calorie, but some are better at making you feel full than others.

    3. Exercise. Exercise earns more calories to eat, and makes you healthier.
