  • Good job Jay!!

    LW 192.8
    TW 192.4

Down another .4, so I guess I'll take that it's still going down!!

Water challenge went well, and yesterday I went for my walk and ended up doing 11.3K !! That was the first time I have gone that far in one trip!! It felt great, a little stiff today though, won't go as far today.

Well I saw a little jump in the scale for me... 2lbs up to 212lbs from last weigh in.

Not horrible considering I haven't been logging my food and I've been eating pretty much anything I want. I'll have to start paying closer attention to what goes into my mouth and the exercising I do. I'm not going to complain about 2 little pounds since my goal for 2009 was to loose and maintain 20lb loss... I've blown that out of the water.

    Hey everyone!!!
I just got some news from last week, I got the job that I had the interview for!!!!! So we are celebrating by going to Oahu for a week!! I dont start the job till late September so we are going Sept 6 to 14. So now I am challenging myself to start up on 30 day shred again. I'll try to do it every day, with of course my rest days. Anyone else want to do it with me???
  • Yay!! Congrats Jay!!! That is awesome!!

    I've given up. I'm done.
Screw it all. I've been up and down from 190-195, trying to eat exercise calories, killing myself changing up my routine. Nothing has changed since November 2008.
Medical came back clear, so no medical reason for it.

    It was fun...
    Good Luck on your journeys.

    Hey Everyone!

I've had a really busy week and my nutrition and fitness seemed to kinda fall to pieces on me. I weighed in on Wednesday and was up 1.2 lbs and still am as of today. But, what can ya do! :ohwell:

I have felt so tired all week, and finally got a nap in today so I am feeling much better. I was back on track today as well. Ate well, and got my exercise in, so I feel much better! I just needed to give myself a kick in the rear to get my butt in gear:laugh:

I spent the day pickling with my mum today  We made mustard pickles and bread & butter pickles. Yummy

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Congrats on the job Jay. Would you be able to refresh what the challenge you mentioned entails?

I just suggested that we record our food in the food log to calculate what the exact calaries are. Sort of to realize what you are eating . . . to be aware. probably wont be a winner, but I think everyone needs to get into this routine in order to know what good choices are. my personal challenge to anyone was to do 30 day shred every day untill I head off to Oahu on the 6th. any takers?? i did it today and it kicked my butt!

Mojogul, please dont give up!!!!!!! Maybe post your exercise routine and food intake for a couple days and maybe we can help out, or give you suggestions. we can figure this out!!! This is what we are here for, not just for competing for biggest loser every week, but for moral support. and this is when you need it the most!!!! I will do all I can to help you through this!!!!! Do not give up!!!

Jay - I logged for a long time, both. I took it all to my nutritionist and my doctor. They cannot understand why I'm not losing, I've been through tests and I don't have any "fat diseases". I'm done logging and obsessing over my food. I know that I eat well and I exercise because it is just part of my lifestyle.
Maybe I'm just a heavy person!

    mojogurl,
I think you should perhaps try and keep at it a little longer, but one thing you might want to change. I've done alot of reading, on here, and other forums, and IMO you need to up your protein.
    Your at a 55%carb 25%fat 20%pro. , if I got your #'s correctly.

There's been many theories of having up to .8g to 1g of protein per 1lb of body weight(muscle mass) is great for feeding the muscles.
Protein helps feed muscle, and muscle burns fat.

For you, that would be from 150-190gms of protein per day - your at 78grms per day. Which is approx .4grams protein / lb per day.

Myself, the first thing I changed were my %'s, and I've been doing 40carb-30pro-30fat. 107grms protein
I might be changing it to 40-40-20 in near future to up my protein even more. = 142grms protein/day.

You mention, "maybe I'm just a heavy person". I think from your previous athletics you have quite some muslce there. I myself have always played hockey, baseball, soccer and worked out when I was younger. said to myself that I have some muscle. It just doesn't show.

Btw, you look great in your new pic. You look happy and you can see you've lost some in your face.

I wish that I could give you some "miracle" answer, but unfortunetly I do not know one. I hope somehow everything will get figured out for you
