More calories left than types of nutrients to eat?

I'm new to this and have a question about how to eat all my calories. Today, for instance, this is what I have left to eat:
Remaining calories 452, Carbs -18 , Fat 12, Protein 7, Sugar -57 .
How can I eat 452 calories with only 12 grams of fat left (at 9 calories per gram) and 7 grams of protein left (at 4 calories a gram)?
My other question is, how can I eat plenty of fruit with a recommended sugar intake of just 24 grams? Today, for instance, I'm over that by 57 grams already and it's the result of 1/2 a banana, 4 small prunes (the major culprit, I admit), and a small handful of blueberries. Of course, other foods had a few sugar grams here and there, but no sweets, no processed food, nothing that's a bad source of sugar.
Thanks for any clarification you can give me!

The carbs, protein, and fat not adding up to total calories must be due to some errors in data base entries for some of the food items. I find my count never works out exactly but the discrepancy usually amounts to 20 calories or less so I don't concern myself too much about it. However the discrepancy you mentioned is extremely high so you might want to look over and calculate some of the food items you entered for the day and see if you can find out which item or items are causing the major discrepancy so you can correct it.
As far as sugar intake is concerned, my sugar intake always exceeds MFP's recommendations, even though my diet is very healthy (almost no processed, restaurant, or takeout foods and no baked goods other than whole grain except for a very rare special treat). If most of the sugars are coming from healthy natural sources like fruits I don't worry about being over. MFP has sugar set very low so most everybody goes over. Nevertheless I do generally keep my fruit intake down to 1 to 3 servings a day and eat more vegetables instead.0 -
MFP doesn't "calculate" the calories based on the entered macros, it uses on a serving size basis just what the user who contributed it to the database entered, so someone entering 70 calories for tuna but 0 protein would leave you down on calories but with "more protein" left than you should have remaining.
Same can be done with calories, having 200 calories logged and 500 calories worth of macros logged for the food item, you can tell pretty close on a line per line basis what is wrong... protein and carbs are 4 calories per gram, fat is 9 calories per gram, so look at your calories and see if that lines up based on the shown macros.0 -
1) Discrepancies are likely due to database entry errors.
2) Sugar from fruit is not likely an issue (as long as it fits your macros) unless you are diabetic.0 -
Thanks for taking time to answer!0
