Insanity question

I know there are tons of questions about this but I have my own personal question.
Should I start insanity? Here's my stats.
I'm 37 and I'm fairly active. I've lost 123 lbs and I'm at 234lbs now wanting to get to 200. I can run 2miles no problems have been weight training to get some muscle back. No injuries or major pains. I know it will kick my butt and I plan on easing into it cause of my age, no I won't wuss out on doing the work.
I'm a former Marine and have a reunion coming up that I'd like to get back into "fighting" shape for. I guess I just need that shove off the cliff. I value and trust you all here so any opinions welcome.

I'm 38 and have just finished my second week of Insanity. I need to lose about 50 pounds, and unlike you, I'm not a very athletic person. However, what has surprised me is how quickly you build your endurance with Insanity. It's torture while you're doing it, but you feel so good when you're done. My husband has been doing it with me sporadically because he has to keep up his running for PT tests (Army), and he says it kicks his butt. If you're looking to lose a lot of pounds, it doesn't seem like Insanity does that for most, but if you want to feel energetic and look thinner, I would highly recommend it. For some reason it's been able to hook me when other programs couldn't.0

I have done Insanity and I love it. I also have done p90x. Both are excellent. Keep up the good work it does pay off.0
