Hi there,
I feel i have been overdoing it at the gym lately and getting a bit obsessive - i only have about 6 lbs to lose and am stuck in a rut.
am thinking of taking a couple of weeks off the gym to take daily Bikram yoga classes - 'hot' yoga - to kind of re-calibrate my body and get back on track.
anyone have any experience?
thanks!

I have never tried Bikram but I would love to try it. I am a yoga addict!0 -
I do Bikram twice a week.
According to my HRM, a 90 minute session burns about 500 calories. It is very, very intense, mostly due to the heat.
It's not for everyone: it's very strictly regimented, expensive and it's very, very hot. The heat will be shocking at first, but you start to crave it.
Expect to be very challenged by your first class. I always tell new folks at the studio I go to to try it at least two times. (they often utter the words "you people are crazy" or "I'm never coming back". . .it's really intense.)
I am much more flexible, my skin is better and I feel very relaxed after a class.
I say go for it, but be prepared to sweat a bucket. Bring a change of clothes, lots of water and two towels. :flowerforyou:0 -
