I got back earlier this week from 2 weeks holiday in France and just had to share 2 successes. Firstly, I lost a pound while I was on holiday - totally unexpectedly. Secondly I managed to walk up to the second level of the Eiffel Tower - 668 steps - without getting out of breath and without my legs aching. That step routine seems to be working. Hooray!!

That's fantastic! I think you must have stronger will power than me. I've never been to France but from what I hear the bread, pastries, cheese and wine are too die for. All my weaknesses in one place + lots of time to endulge = a bigger (and drunker?) Katrina:laugh:

Keep up the good work! You are well on your way :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks!! Actually we were down in the south for 10 days out in the middle of nowhere - so apart from the fact that it was soooo hot I didn't actually feel like indulging, it would have been a 20 minute drive to the nearest bakery! Paris was more of a challenge though . . .

    Yay, for success!

I agree with Katrina, I probably would have gained like 10 lbs if I went there. I tend to gain weight when i visit anywhere. :(

    Congrats on the success!

YES! Losing a pound is amazing! But walking up the tower without gettin gout of breath??? That's extraordinary!!!!!!!!! Gratz! It must be really cool to see your work outs translate into something so practical and tangible.

with the weight loss and exercise comes better health, and the Eiffel tower climb proves it! Bask in knowing that all your hard work IS paying off... and then keep it up!
