Just joined this site after already losing 15 lbs. I'm 225 lbs. now, headed for 180. I've lost weight before using MyCalorieCounter (now Livestrong), but I like this interface way better and love the app. I know counting calories helps a lot. Especially important in my town, which seems to have little to eat besides comfort food - BBQ, Tex Mex, chicken fried steak, etc. If you just put anything that comes along in your mouth you'll gain weight pretty quickly. Found that out the hard way.
Anyway, I'm on the right track again, fairly active. I like to hike and bike in the Austin area so if anyone is interested in meeting up I'm open to the idea.
