I am trying to loose 40 lbs. I was always small until I started having kids. I have two boys and the youngest is 5 years old. I have noticed that as I get older, the weight is harder to come off and I feel tired all. I want to feel good and be able to keep up with my boys. I would also LOVE to go swimming and not hide behind my children because of how I look in a bathing suit.

Hi Melissa
I am with you! It would be so nice to walk around in a bathing suit and feel confident. I just found this site from my sister in law and it really has helped her. She has lost 35 pounds so far. It really makes you think about what you put in your mouth! Have a great day!0 -
I hear your pain. I was the tiniest person in my family. I was 110lbs all through high school. When I went to college and got married my heaviest was 125. I weighed in at 160 before I got pregnant with my son and after him, 165. I can't even fit into the swimsuit I wore on my honeymoon and it was only 2 years ago. I want to look toned and I don't want to be embarrassed to wear short shorts or dresses. A lot of our friends run marathons and they are all fit and trim and I aspire to be like them. So I started this journey because I want to actively do something about my weight instead of sitting around complaining about it or making fat jokes about myself. I am happy to report that I have made some progress. I lost 5lbs since I started this website!!! 5lbs!!! I have not been under 160 lbs in over a year. I can't believe it. I bought some shorts yesterday and I actually have to take them back because they are too big! I am sticking with this this time around. I want to feel this good about myself every day. So keep it up. I am not a fitness buff and I am lucky I can make it on the treadmill for more than 15 minutes at a time, but I stick with it and I mix up my workouts. If I can do it, I know anyone can.0

Thank you all. It really helps to have people around that can feel your pain. I have lost 5 lbs since I started this website. Yeah. I didn't feel like that was much, but then I picked up a 5 lb bag of sugar and thought, you know just two weeks ago, I was carrying this around with me all the time. I am now very proud of my weight loss. I did not put it on overnight, and I cannot expect it to come off overnight. I have to get it in my head and not give up.0
