Hi there,
Have often browsed this website when looking for nutrition and fitness ideas.
Well 3 years after being in the best shape of my life, I find myself at my heaviest. After having a job where I'm sitting a lot and still eating like I used to when I exercised a lot more, I find myself at 161lbs and 5ft 4in high, the weight slowly crept up on me without me realising. So after a shock moment of 'oh my god, is that really my body????' when looking in the mirror, I've decided to set myself the goal of getting back down to 140lbs by the beginning of September before I go on my holiday.
I am naturally curvy (you ladies with the child bearing hips know what I mean) and I am never going to be 8 1/2 stone like my BMI says I should be. At my skinniest due to stress I was skin and bones and looked horrible I weighed 9 1/2 stone so I'd look skeletal if I were 8 1/2 stone. I had it 'just right' at around the 10st mark, so that is what I am aiming for.
For those of you hardcore fitness fans this is my plan:
- no more than 1200cals per day (I sometimes do less, although I hear any less than 120 is not recommended).
- exercise 3 times per week for at least 3 minutes. This will be in the form of jogging/running/30 Day Shred.
- one cheat meal a week where I can eat what I like (but not lots of it) and have a dessert.
- every meal (apart from cheat meal) is the correct serving size for everything.
Does this plan sound good?
I have been on this plan since 11th June and I weigh myself every Wednesday. After weigh in 1, I had only lost 1lb which was disappointing, so I am hoping for more this week.
Looking forward to getting tips and meeting all of you.
