I will be starting a new round of CE on Aug 31st and looking for people to join me and help me keep accountable! I have completed one round of CE and LOVED it. I just tried to start a round of INSANITY a couple of weeks ago and I was liking that too but I am finding I am getting injuries (knees, joints) all the time and I can't maintain the extreme exercises everyday. I have decided that I will do CE for the weight training days and then sub in some Insanity cardio on the other days. I have creayed myself a calendar so I will try to report what I am doing each day:happy:

I am hoping to get some others that are starting CE around the same time so we can check in with each other and help to keep us on track!

My stats are: 30 years old, 5'4" tall, 130lbs starting weight. Looking to get down to about 120lbs. I am going on a 2 week trip to Hawaii in December so my goal is to reach that weight for the trip!!! That will be the lightest I have been in 15 years! (I have lost about 15lbs already):drinker:

  • Best of luck dear! I am actually in the lean phase right now and will start over with another girl on Oct 5 when I get back from my cruise..possibly working in some Insanity as well. Keep in touch either way!

Good luck!! I did a round in December and had great results!! I'm loving Insanity for now... in month 2 and finishing up strong! Not sure what I'll be doing next... but probably a little ChaLean mixed in there somewhere!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Have any of you done P90X Lean??

    I almost did Chalean instead.

I'm on Day 5 of P90x Lean. I like it so far!

Hi Brenna, yes I have done P90x Lean and I did the Classic version two. I liked the lean program and if you stick with the diet you can get some great results. For me, I just preferred the results I got from ChaLean Extreme. I think it is better suited for the female body (in my opinion). If you have any questions about P90x I would be happy to try to answer! It is a great program and Tony is fun to work out with! Good Luck!!!

Thanks!! Yeah, I am doing ok for now. The pushups and pullups are what really, really kill me. That stuff is important and good for me, I know.

But I feel like I need mroe cardio. I also have a tough time with eating so much. I hate to say this but it goes against what I'm used to, eating around 1200-1500 calories per day. I guess I've engrained "dieting" to mean low calories. I'm trying to do low carb/high protein. As a vegetarian, it is quite a struggle-but I'm doing it.

What is the commitment of Chalean vs. p90x lean? Is it very different? Maybe I will give Chalean a try next.

    Brenna...

Hey I am a vegetarian too. Good to find someone else that is working out that is a vegetarian. Let me know if you have found any meals that you like. I have been doing a lot of egg whites (I still eat these), beans and soy protein products. I find a lot of good stuff from Yves. It is hard though to eat a lot of protein as a vegetarian.

Chalean's workouts are a bit shorter than P90x but I double up my weight lifting (so I do the video twice) because it is only about 35 minutes long. There are no pull ups in Chalean either.

I started this week so I will be a week ahead of you, but if you don't mind I will tag along with you.

I did 3 weeks of Chalean and then ending up going to spend a week or so with family and fell of the track so I am starting fresh again.

I plan to do Slim in 6 Burn on some rest days. I also do Tony Horton 10 minute Yoga and Slim in 6 Abs each night before I go to bed. If it is not too hot I also take a walk break at lunch.

Kimberly...that sounds great:happy: would love to have you along!

How is your first week going? I have been doing a couple of workouts this week too but my eating has not been very clean so I am not officially starting until Monday (it's a mental thing:laugh: ) Your baby in your profile pic is so cute!!! How old? I have a 4 and 2 year old...so much fun!

My son is 13 months - and yes I think he is adorable - but I am partial.

The first week is great. But I am usually good until about 3 weeks into it before I hit the wall.
I am mentally debating if I should take both rest days or if I can add a cardio workout one of those days. What are you going to do?

I posted a calendar on my office wall on Monday and I am putting X on the days I work out. I told my coworkers to get on me if I don't have an X. That way I am counting down for my workouts and for Christmas. It would be great to show of at Christmas with the relatives.

This morning I did Burn 3. I had to force myself to get up but once I got going it felt great.

Kimberly - That's great that you did the workout even though you didn't feel like it at the start! I find that it just takes a few minutes and then I am so happy that I started! I can't wait to officially begin on Monday:happy:

I only take one rest day (sundays) because I find that 2 rest days feels like too much. I also play soccer on sundays so I guess I actually don't really have a rest day:laugh: The calendar idea is a good one. I always track my workouts and try to keep visual reminders of what I am doing. I can't wait to see how we look for Christmas!!!

So I just finished Burn It Off and I feel invigorated at 6:45 on a Saturday morning. I am waiting for my little one to wake so that I can feed him and then go for a morning walk while it is nice out before the 111 temp.

Can't wait for you to officially start Monday morning. I am going to take tomorrow Sunday off from official exercise but may do something else like a morning bikeride (pulling that bike stroller is not an easy task.

    Have a great weekend.

Okay so I officially started today and it was awesome!!! I had totally forgotten what the Burn Circuit was like. I did the BC1 twice this morning and I am certainly feeling it now!

My plan for tomorrow is to do the plyo-cardio circuit from Insanity and some extreme abs. Looking forward to it:smile: I always find the hardest thing to get back into is the eating part. I love exercise but eating really well is a bit more of a struggle for me. What is everyone else doing? Are you following a plan or just watching calories?

    Have a great day:happy:

Great job on your first day.

I did Burn 1 this morning. Love it. Great to be in week 2. Tomorrow I plan to do Slim in Six Burn It Up. When I do BIU I feel like a get a full body workout.

I am watching what I eat but not necessarily on a specific plan. I did South Beach for years so I still tend to make sure I am eating Good Carbs Good Fats Low to No Sugars.

Today was suppose to be a rest day so I did Slim in Six Burn. Now I am ready for today.

I am already noticing a difference in the way my clothes are fitting. YEAH

    How is everyone else doing?

    Way to go Kimberly:drinker:

Insanity Plyometric Cardio and Ab Ripper X done:happy: I was sweating like crazy this morning...that Insanity is so hard! I guess that's why they call it Insanity:laugh: I am looking forward to Burn Circuit 2 tomorrow. So far I have been eating clean so hopefully I can keep that up!

    Have a great day!
  • Hey girls....
Way to rock it out! I am in week 2 of the Lean phase...got CE Lean 2 tonight! I tell you what..Lean 1 is killer! I am taking 1-2 weeks of program later this month (works out well as I'll be on a cruise for one week!) and then starting again on Oct 5.

Great job on rest day. Can't believe you are doing INSANITY. I am fairly certain that would kick my butt.

This morning I did Burn 2. For some reason the reverse grips on this set kill my left forearm. I went and got an arm brace for that specific spot it helps a little but I still struggle through them. Hopefully next week will be better for this set. As my husband says - just push through it.

I am a little grumpy this morning. Not sure why, but I am going to try and pull myself out of it. My son cried when I dropped him off at daycare this morning, which did not help the situation. Guess I will just have to snap out of it. I am hoping to go for my lunch walk and that may reduce my grumpiness but that is 4 hours away. Oh well, back to work.

I did Burn Intervals this morning. Great workout. I love Thursdays.

Not grumpy today just tired. My son was up ever 30 minutes with sinus dripping into his throat. Guess it is that time of the year.

Kim are you still with me???

Hey, sorry I didn't write yesterday. I am crazy busy at work and my daughter started Kindergaden today so I haven't had much spare time! I did Burn 2 yesterday (twice) and I totally agree with you Kimberly, that one kills my forarms and wrists. I actually had to drop the weights at one point.

My son was up several times in the night so I didn't get up for my workout. I will be doing Insanity Power and Resistance tonight and hopefully some abs. Looking forward to Burn 3 tomorrow (I prefer lifting weights to the cardio!!!) Actually...maybe I will do Burn Intervals tonight. I much prefer that workout!

    Have a great day!

How was your daughter's first day of kindergarten? I am not ready for mine to be that old. I have a hard enough time dropping him off at daycare.

Great job working out even with little time - we have to make time right:smile:

I did Burn 3 this morning. Feel great. Ready for the weekend. Maybe I can get some sleep thrown in. My son is still having a cold. As my husband says he has snot bubbles and is still having trouble breathing because of that so he is not sleeping at night. We steam him in the morning and before bed which helps. GUess it just has to run its course.

Hope you have a wonderful Friday.:drinker: Water only!!!

    Good morning!!!

Burn 3 this morning (twice). LOVED IT!!! I did the Burn Intervals last night but did not get the abs in so I will try to get one in this weekend. We are out tonight and going camping with the kids this weekend so I sure hope I can get all my workouts in AND eat clean. It is so hard to eat properly when your camping...mmmm...marshmellows:laugh: At least I am a vegetarian so I am not tempted by the BBQ'd burgers and stuff.

My daughter LOVED Kindergarten! She was so excited to go back which is awesome!

    Have a great weekend:happy:

Kim - Hope you had a nice camping trip. I am a smores freak - love them. I used to have ingredients on hand at all times for a night time snack - of course that is not allowed anymore. But if I were camping I think I would have to give into the temptation.

On Saturday I did Burn It Off but I followed Lelee because I am sick. I think I caught what my son had. I head feels like it is going to explode. So I took Sunday and today off trying to recover. I am still doing great with my calories and have not gone off with junk food - even though being sick makes me want to. If I feel up to it tonight I may try Burn 1 if not I will try to get back into something tomorrow.

So it was quite a weekend! My daughter had an asthma attack while we were camping and I had forgotten her inhaler:sad: She took the whole next day to recover. Then yesterday she tried some mixed nuts and had a serious allergic reaction to the brazil nut:sad: I had no idea she had any allergies at all. I felt terrible:cry:

Now for accountability...I did Get Lean Intervals on Sunday, Burn Circuit 1 (twice) on Monday and the Burn It Off (twice) this morning!!! I did however let my diet slip a bit while we were camping:grumble: Oh well, you only live once right! Have a great day! I hope you feel better soon (nothing worse than trying to workout when your sick...good for you for sticking to it though!)

Wow I hope your daughter is feeling better. That was a rough weekend for her. But kids usually bounce back rather quickly - guess that is one of the perks for being a kid.

Sounds like you did good holding on to your workouts. And yes, we have to indulge every so often with our diet so that we can keep on being healthy.

I did end up doing Burn 1 before bed last night. I felt better about sticking to the schedule, but then I could not go to bed. Today was a rest day so instead of getting out of bed I slept. Still not feeling well, but forced myself to come to work. I am going to try and go for a walk at lunch to at least get some kind of exercise in today. I don't think I will be up for an aerobics workout tonight, but we will see.

    Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Was out sick yesterday but I did get Burn Circut 2 in and a yoga last night to try and get out some of my kinks.

This morning I did Burn Intervals and I will try and do Ab Burner tonight when I get home. I am making myself stick with this even though I am still not better because getting sick is the perfect excuse to stop my routine and I am not going to let that happen. I am in this for the long haul - but I will take the rest days until I get better.

Hope you have a good day.

I did Burn Intervals and Extreme Abs this morning. Yoga sounds good, I was actually thinking this morning that I would like to try to fit some Yoga in - maybe this weekend.

Hope you start to feel better soon:flowerforyou:

Hope you get to some Yoga - it really does relax you - if you have the right one for you.

I did Burn 3 this morning. It is amazing how better I feel after working out.

    Have a great weekend.
