If anyone has a 1# bag of PB2, would you please tell me how many 2T servings are in the 1# bag?

Thank you so much!

  • Debbie,

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I can't get it locally, so have been thinking about ordering some to try from Amazon. It sounds so good.
  • I've heard so much about PB2. Do you guys find that it tastes like real peanut butter (we use Trader Joe's Organic with sea salt)? I'm a peanut butter junkie and can't stand the "fake" stuff (tried Better N Peanut butter once and ended up making hubby take it to his office hoping someone there would use it).

PB2 comes as powder that you mix with water, or in my case soy milk. If you're real nut for authentic peanut butter I think you might not like it. To me it tastes most like the peanut butter in a Reese's cup, but not as sweet. I use it in my smoothies, and it does add a nice peanuty taste to those, but it doesn't have the mouth-feel of real peanut butter if you use it for a PB&J. I still like it a lot though.

I stir it in my oatmeal in the morning, instead of using real peanut butter. It adds the protein without all the fat. I think it still gives it a nice peanutty flavor....

Thanks for this! Perhaps I'll keep the real deal for my sandwiches and use the PB2 as a mix in when I want peanut butter flavor without the calories/fat.

it's "acceptable" in recipes, shakes, etc....but as Peanut Butter itself, it is a fail. you can't spread this on toast and enjoy it...
but toss a TBSP in a chocolate protein shake!

The Choc pb2 isn't very choclatey. But good in smoothies, oatmeal. or sprinkled on bananas, apples. Better n peanut butter tastes just like it only little sweeter.
