Very odd and unexpected NSV

As I have mentioned before in other threads, I'm a big guy who picks up and throws big things. I've been basing my bodyfat estimate based on waist and neck measurements. Over the past few years of moderate training, I've been noticing that parts of my body have firmed up and areas that are natural fat pockets have started drooping as if they were deflating, even if I wasn't getting that much smaller.
So I ordered a set of skinfold calipers and they arrived today. I've done skinfold tests in the past, and have had them done to me (last one was about 8 years ago, before I started competing), so I'm familiar with the process. So I do the 3 site and the 4 site tests, double check my results using both sides of my body, get my wife to do measurements without knowing what I recorded so I would have two separate confirmations, and run the check through two different sites and the book that came with the calipers.
And I've apparently trimmed up to 23-25% bodyfat! (I'm giving myself a few degrees of error because I still don't quite believe it, but considering my powerlifter's build (52 inch waist, 22 inch neck), I'm willing to believe it.
If that's even wrong by 5 percentage points, then that means that if I want to get to 15% bodyfat (which is appropriate for strength athletes), then I have a maximum fat loss of 52 lbs to go. If it's right, then I have 36 lbs to lose.
I know I've only been on here for about a month (and 23 lbs down already, thanks to MFP's assistance) - but I had to share this NSV. I may not reach my goal as I've set it below, but if I get down to 15%, I'll call it quits and go for maintenance, or go to muscle building for next year's games!
