Currently eating 1460 cals.....im 5,11 male weight is 179-180.4 up and down the last little while and i think im stuck. I know im not eating enough and im having a hard time wanting to go up in cals because im concerned ill undo my hard work. I still have id say 10-15lbs of body fat to shed but i seem to be just bouncing back and forth at this weight and i know its most likely the low cal eating. I do cardio 5-6 days a week and weights (heavy) 3-4 times a week...cardio is 60mins plus a day either walk 4mph pace or stationary bike.

Now i know some say 180 is light for my height but i have always had a horrible body fat percent and still have more fat then id like. So how did you guys convince yourselves that more calories are going to be okay and you will loose more weight?....I also dont have a heart rate monitor so i dont like to eat back much if any burnt calories in fear of undoing progress of the cardio.

So i guess in short i just need some support and opinions on where abouts my cals should be....thanks guys and girls :)

Why are you only eating 1450? That appears far too low for a man

The minimum reccomended for men is 1800.

pop your info in here - http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/

put your current weight as your target and it will give you your current estimated TDEE. Deduct 20% and eat that.

If you put your goal weight in, it will tell your maintenance calories when you are at target, and you can see how low 1450 actually is for you.

Too aggressive a defict can actually be detrimental to fat loss.
