Hi my name is tasha, and I have purging type anorexia. I am in outpatient recovery at the moment, but if I don't seem to be making much progress I will be admitted back in. I want to start a thread that will not only help myself, but hopefully others struggling with an eating disorder or recovery.

Urm a bit of info about me: I have suffered with anorexia from the age of six (I'm twenty now) and I started purging at the age of sixteen. I have been sectioned countless times and I have spent most of my life in hospital. I struggle with eating and keeping it down, drinking just a glass of water used to be a big battle for me but I am proud I am now able to say I can drink 4-6 bottles of water and keep them down.

I really just want to be free of this disorder, I have made alot of changes in just the last year but it's still there managing to control me. Alot of people know about it, alot of people have supported me all throughout my recovery and relapses, but no one can make someone else better, they have to do it for themself so that's what I'm trying to do.

I would love to support someone through this and hopefully have someone there so I can hold myself accountable too, we can go through this difficult time together. Even if no one replies, thank you for taking the time to read this. Take care and remember you are strong xxx

I just to let my ED (bulimia) control me. It took a lot but very rarely will I notice symptoms again and I'm able to take control a lot faster! I just wanted to say you're not alone and there is hope.

I do have to ask...if you are struggling with eating then why are you wanting to lose 2 pounds?

Her ticker numbers are negative. I believe she's trying to gain 2 lbs.

After years of hating myself for it, I have realised it happened for a reason. I want to use my experience to help me help others going through it, obviously once I'm fully recovered. I mean I've had all the lectures about why I have to recover, but I don't believe my doctors have been through it because if they had, they'd understand it more. There's nothing worse than someone telling you what you can and can't do, telling you they know how painful it is but they've never actually been through it.

I will keep trying, I will get there one day:) Thank you:)
