Busy Lifestyle...Excuses Abound

I've been trying to lose weight ever since I can remember. I've lost a great deal and then sort of hit this plateau. I'm back in school getting my master's and the work just seems neverending. I wake up around 6 am and got to bed around 1-2 am and in the meantime am bombarded with work and reading. I am not overwhelmed and never will be. Hahaha...it's the way I do things, all or nothing. However, i have noticed that my healthy efforts that I have established go on the sidelines when I get busy. I say, "I have to do this now, but I'll run later"...and later never comes. Or, I'll buy healthy food, fruits and vegetables, and then when I get busy- go for the microwaveable chicken sandwich, because it doesn't take as much time to prepare and clean up.

Does anyone have any tips on a.) putting a stop to the excuses and b.) getting over the "i'm busy" hump and just doing it. At the end of the day, I jump into bed and immediately feel guilty that I should have done something different. Unfortunately, by the time I have time to think about how to do it better, I'm already asleep and the process begins again.

Thanks!
