Hi everybody, I just started my weight loss journey 4 weeks ago, giving up soda, sweets and salt so far lost 10lbs. I was on a 1200 calorie diet then. a week a go I started getting really tired at the end of the day, and saw that i wasn't losing it as fast as I was in the beginning. I decided to up my calories. Now I'm a 1400 calorie diet eating every 2-3 hours, and exercising 1hr 6 days a week burning 200-400 calories, . I'm scared I will hit a plateau and I will not lose anymore weight? any suggestions would be great, if I'm doing this right.
my starting weight was 173 today I am at 163
at 5'0 foot tall
Thanks

When I first came here, I called it a diet too. But not long into it, a member told me that it "wasn't a diet, it was a lifestyle change". I thought "YA, RIGHT, SURE it is!" But within a month or so, I realized that it WAS! Diets are something that you try when you're sick of the way you look, yet, within a very short time, you realize that you can only be "GOOD" for just a little while before you "cave", and then just give up.
With MFP though, I learned that I CAN occasionally have a "goody". I just need to "work for it" with exercise and better food choices.(MOST of the time!)
Once I started thinking of it as a lifestyle change, the weight just slowly and steadily came off!
Sure I had lots of weeks of staying the same, or even gaining a pound here and there. But, I stuck with it, and today I can say that I have NEVER been happier! Words can't express just how MUCH MFP has changed my life for the better.
Stick with it, and you WILL get into those smaller sized clothes before you know it!0 -
Thank you all for that boost of encouragement. this is the fist time, i've actually stepped up to make a change for the better!!0
