Favorite artificial sweetener?

What is your favorite artificial sweetener? (If you use them). My favorite is Splenda, but haven't tried some of the newer ones so am curious.

I like the taste of Truvia, less of a chemical aftertaste.

Apparently Splenda has the least amount of calories so it's become my new favourite for that reason. I do prefer Equal the best though for taste...they are all pretty much of a muchness though.

I haven't tried Truvia yet, I will have to see if I like it better than Spenda. I do love Equal too but gives me migraines so can't use it.
  • I really like stevia in baked goods, powdered and preferrably organic from Trader Joe's. Liquid stevia isn't bad, but most often adds an odd aftertaste that powdered fails to deliver.

P.S. Totally BUMPing this thread for ideas!

Sucrolose, which is what is in Splenda but Splenda has a carrier (sugar) that is needed because sucrolose is so concentrated. I buy just the sucrolose so I don't have the sugar calories with splenda. EZ-Sweetz is good and comes in tiny bottle I keep in my desk drawer at work. Or Fiberfit is a bigger bottle and has fiber in it and I use that home with my kool-aid.

Both are very concentrated. EZ-Sweetz is only about 30 drops for a 2 quart of kool-aid.

Stevia is the only one that doesn't bother me.

I use Sweetzfree - liquid sucralose. Splenda has malodextrin as a filler and adds an unnecessary carb to my count, so I just go with the liquid stuff.

Stevia/truvia, and it is not an artificial sweetener, it is from a plant.

    Sugar.
It comes from a plant but is quite processed, though not as much as sone of the others.
Only 16 cals/tsp and I think it tastes much better than any of the others.
