How do I make homemade whole wheat bread?

I made whole wheat bread and it was as hard as a rock. Anyone have a good recipe and good directions for the cooking impaired?

    The recipe I made was for 5 loaves. The only problem I had was that I didn't have 5 pans LOL. It still turned out good and my family loved it. Very simple for ingrediants. You want to grease and flour the pans though, she forgot to mention it. Hope that helps!
