What is one small thing you have changed in your life to help make you healthier?

I try to park my car farther away from entrances and always take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator. I wonder how many extra calories I burn in a year by doing this :P

I walk when I feel like taking the bus. Sometimes I purposely don't bring bus tickets with me so that I CAN'T cop out and take the bus.

Also, I bought an entire summer gym pass so that I'll have to use it. I mean, I already spent the $$ it'd be horrible if I spent THAT MUCH and didn't have anything to show for it in the end!!!

I work at a cement plant in the laboratory. I have to go out into the plant every hour to get samples. It's a pretty big facility so we have a golf cart and a truck to use; I started walking to get all my samples. In a 12 hour shift I can walk up to 2 miles!

I never liked fish...a disgrace to my Italian heritage, I know this. But it's such a good source of lean protein I've slowly been incorporating some fish into my diet, such as tilapia, flounder and had salmon for the first time last summer believe it or not. I make sure I eat fish as my lean protein at least one dinner per week. I won't ever eat mussels or clams or calamari (sorry Grandpop Dellaratta) but I'm gettin there. Also, I started with the whole grains one grain at a time a few yrs back and now 99% of breads, pastas etc I consume are whole grain. Unless I go out to eat maybe once per month I have white pasta if it's an Italian place. Now white pasta doesn't sit well in my tummy so I usually have gnocchi when I go out if I can. You hit the nail on the head though...all those little changes add up. There's my Facebook status update for motivation tomorrow lol. Feel free to add me on FB, Robyn Hooven Wilson :)

Dietary Change: I drink about 5 cups of green or black tea a day. Can't tell you how much it's helped my diabetes and my overall health. I also eat almonds. Such an amazing little nut!!

Exercise Change: When I feel crappy I start stretching. In front of the TV, in a parking lot, waiting for the kids, wherever. Why not? It's not like anyone ever says, "Hey, you, stop that stretching right now!!" and if they did, I'd just ignore them anyway.
