How to ask a question on MFP

You might think that this is arbitrary... if you do then you're wrong.

Most of you will blindly go about asking the question as if you were talking to your buddies down the pub or a family member... this is wrong. You must do the EXACT opposite of that. Phrase your question as a statement of fact and turn each detail on it's head, I'll give you an example:

Dear MFP, what is the best way to go about losing weight? WRONG

Notice to all MFPers, if you activate starvation mode before the next moon-rise and press triangle triangle square circle on your ps2 controller you will lose 1lbs in body weight.

You will get more responses from the latter, all you need to do is continue to blindly argue your point to get more detail and some lovely scientific papers to back it all up.
