So I am planning my first ever long hual flight to Oz, never doing long haul before. I would really appreciate any advice that people could offer on good seats. Wheres best to sit on the plane, window, aisle etc.

I am flying with Emirates on a 777-300ER, I leave at 8.10pm 14/12 and arrive in Australia at 8.45am 16/12.
My plan of action for this flight is too stay awake as long as possible on the first leg then sleep from Dubai to Sydney.

My return flight is a Airbus A380-800, 21.45pm 10/01 and I arrive back home at 11.45am 11/01.
Im not entirely sure what plan to take with this one. sleep first leg or second or just try to sleep as much as possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a former Flight Attendant. . .my pick would be bulkhead row window (more foot room and nobody leans back into your seat).
Second choice would be emergency row exit. . .more room and close to exit doors. I would stay away from the back rows as the restrooms can get pretty ripe on long flights.

http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Emirates_Airlines/information.php Make sure you know which version of a 777-300ER you are on, as the 2 class version look to be full of suck. (31'' seat pitch for a long *kitten* flight suckssss)
